This winter I'll be building my almost 5 year old daughter, Lena, a new kayak. Last night I was going though KOG with her looking at different kayaks. My 2 year old, Danielle, decided to "help." Lena really liked the "smooth" kayaks by the way... whatever that means... and the pictures of the seals. She was really drawn to KOG #82, LC-148 from East Greenland. Cool... "Elsie" was based on it and became my CT-18 design. I should be able to resize it on the computer to fit her. Say 12 feet long....

Anyway, the girls got tired of looking through a B&W book so we put it back on the shelf. A half-hour later, Danielle come walking down the stairs with my copy of KOG in a bear hug. It looked bigger than her. She popped it on the dining room table and read it for a good half-hour. I guess she wanted to pick HER kayak!
