I'm not planning to cover this section in a lot of detail. I figure that it's something that Vaclav has come up with and documented, so his intellectual property to share. I did find his building guide helpful and it covers building the hatches in good detail. It's also quite well covered on his website too.

Position (and size) of hatches ... well I just guessed ... It looks like the forward bulkhead will be located around form 6, so I put the forward hatch about 5-6" in front of form 6. Stern hatch I located about a foot behind the cockpit to allow some space for some lateral bungees. I've never owned a kayak so just going on other people's ideas and photos and what seems reasonable. I'm going to add perimeter lines too. Hoping to get it all done by Xmas in time for our summer holiday (I'm in southern hemisphere).
