Exept for the extreme northern part of this country, norther white cedar is a bit hard to find and when you do it's usually knotty and short. Finding long clear boards is difficult at best. Other than www.woodfinder.com or looking in the classifieds of mags like "WoodenBoat" it's more a matter of asking around. You're better off looking at hardwood suppliers as they deal with specialty woods, something the big box stores don't.
