Your feet sit in the boat in a V position with the heels near each other (or touching in a skinny boat) and the toes spread apart. So the deck height is deceiving. Still it's a plans built boat and the deck's shape doesn't effect the hull in the least, so you can always make the deck taller. Lay out the bulkhead closest to your feet and see if your feet will fit, if not make it a little bigger.
