I suspect your deck will be much like the deck on my Disko Bay, it took a significant amount of heat to get the strips to make that bend. It helps much to have long strips that make the transition from the foredeck to the aft deck, from the pix you have doesn't look like you have that option.

It's much easier if you do a recessed cockpit as the cutout can be much larger than the cockpit itself. Mine's got a pretty small 16x20 ocean cockpit that's not recessed so that made it harder.
