Hi Mike,

Yeah supposed to work best on woods like red oak.

WRC does though have a fairly high tannin level for a softwood, we'll see.

I did this by mistake, sorta a number of years ago, was using vinegar to clean epoxy off brushes and had it in an old coffee can, disolved the can and it was sitting on a scrap of cedar, turned it pretty black, course I didn't notice it for a week or so. Thought it was interesting.
