: From the dimensions you're looking for, the Parr is almost a
: perfect fit. Eight inches in LOA isn't going to make much of a
: difference. I built my son a Parr and I'm very impressed with
: it. It slices through the water with almost no drag whatsoever.

Hi Pedro. Thanks for the info and the offer. Actualy for me the build is part of the pleasure. Also I'm in the UK so shipping might be a bit of a problem. Nice thought though. I had considered the Parr and it could still be an option. I hadn't realised that One Ocean had scaling info. I've already generated some figures for a 2/3 x Great Auk and Dan's boats look good, so all of a sudden, from no options, I now have five or six to chose from.
I have just finished building a mini GP. It is a vertical laminate of short ends of 3/4" x 3/16" strips from my current boat build. The loom is 3/4" round 11"long. OAL is 52" and it weighs in at 10oz. I quite fancy using it myself!!! I'll see how it fits him, and then modify or build another.
