I wanted to like them. Have tried a pair in 3 different boats. The angles are not right for me. There are two key angles. First, verticality of the face presented to the foot. I would like to have 15 or 20 degrees, with the top further away than the bottom. Just hold your feet out and look. Most foot braces get this wrong. At least the Seadogs try to mitigate by presenting a curved face, so there's not a single upper edge to dig into your feet.

Second, is the sideways angle to your foot. The inboard edge should be a bit closer to you than the outboard edge. Just hold your feet out and look. Consider a pair of Kleppers or Yakima. The sideways orientation is dead flat. You adapt by rotating your feet slightly. But, the Seadogs have the angle reversed, with the inboard edge being further away! Now the foot has to be rotated even further, which adds up to strain, for me, anyway. The Wilderness Systems braces -- as in the Tempest and others -- are the only braces I've found that get this angle right, and are kinder to my feet and ankles.
