: closer to 1/8 can usually be bent around the bow and stern
: pretty easily. With 1/16,you could go around a very tight curve.

Yeah, I think I do need 1/16 inch thick. My Kayak has very square stern and bow, so it will be a near 90 degree bend. I do realize that most will end up on the floor:)....Oh well; it's still cheaper than ordering some.

I do have and use a heat gun without any qualms, so maybe I'll try an 1/8 inch thick strip first to see how that works out.
