: is not quite fair. There are 7 exterior forms that hold the
: plywood hull to shape for the process of stitching and gluing.
: I'm noticing that where the hull panels span between forms they
: are bowing out slightly toward the top making the side panels
: just out of fair. Should i do something to 'fix' the bowing
: issue before i glass the inside of the hull or is this normal
: and will get corrected later on? If i should do something now,

When I built my Volkskayak, a full plywood stitch and glue, I did what the instructions recommended and applied a thickened (with micro-balloons) epoxy coat to 'fair out hollows and scratches'. Applied with a wide plastic spreader to follow the curves. Depending on the extent of the problem, this might help. It will add some weight. Hope this helps.
