: I often have unfair areas on a stitch and glue hull before joining
: to the deck, especially near sloppy scarf joints. My solution is
: to attach a temporary gunnel to the hull using drywall screws to
: force a fair curve. The gunnel is removed after joining with the
: deck. Works great. If the unfair area is really big, it's
: probably best to fix it before working the inside of the hull.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I figured the original post was just missed the first time around, everyone here has always been a huge help. I'll take a closer look at the extent of the bowing, whether its just at the top or the whole depth of the side panel and figure out how to proceed from there. Would i be crazy to just take it out of the external forms before glassing the inside of the hull? I assume that enough of the shape is locked in placed with the fillets that the hull will be able fair itself out if I just remove the forms?
