I've done it on mine, but mine's a fairly inexpensive suit, just spread the goop over the liner and it seals it and protects it. But...if this is an expensive suit and being Gortex suspect it's a Kokatat, I'd send it back in for repair.

Kokatat has been very good at doing repairs and fairly cheap if not free.
