: I will probably end up buying a fast setting epoxy. I have just
: started to build a tent around the kayak. I'll make it from
: leftover strips and cords from the ceiling so i can adjust its
: height. Close to the kayak when it's setting and high when i'm
: working on it. When it's done, I'll see how much I can heat it
: and then decide whether to buy the fast or normal setting epoxy.
: Insulating the garage is not really an option. It is rented just
: for building the kayak, and I'll leave it again when the kayak
: is done. This is also the reason why I don't want to wait for
: spring to do the glassing. I'll still have to pay the rent.
: About amine blush:As I understand it, it is only a problem if I let
: it cure longer then the stage where is tack-free, but can still
: be dented with a fingernail (Green stage / chemical bond). In
: this stage the next coat will dissolve the amine blush. It's
: only necessary to wash if I let it cure more. Do I get it
: right???

You might be right, the only time I've had issues with blush is when I've let the epoxy sit and fully harden. I would though check with the resin company to be sure.
