I'm not really concerned with traditional at all, but the rusting part is a good point and they are just Lowe's big box of gold colored wood screws, not sure what't they are made of. At this point I have not epoxied anything yet, I've just got everything in place. I wanted to ensure that once pulled in tight everything was nice and symmetrical before I went and permanently attached it.
