I have paddled with a fellow in a Wood Duck and it was faster than I expected. Didn't appear to be as slow as most Rec Boats, but maybe he is just a stronger/better paddler. While this is not my type of boat I really was impressed with the little thing. And I was really impressed at how light it was. Of course he made it point not to put any extra epoxy into it which I am sure helped.
