In my earlier missive, I forgot to make it clear that when I said that I pulled gently on the tape with my left hand, I was pulling along the length of the boat, not lifting the tape off the hull. Pulling away from the hull will at times rip the glass at the hull and leave a messier edge. Now how do you suppose I know that? :)
