The deck shock cords and perimeter line are attched using the Greenley-style soft padeyes.

There are only two hard fittings on the deck: The paddle-park hook and the skeg control. Both are positioned at the side of the cockpit so as to not interfere with reentries.

The flat deck reduces wind resistance, and serves as a good bait-cutting station in front of the cockpit.

The hatch covereed are secured using the under-deck shock cords as on my other kayaks. They are very secure, and I've never lost a cover :-).
