Actually you might be surprised at the dexterity using the mits, you can feel much more thru them than you can with the average cold weather gloves. Living up north I've tried I think every "water proof glove" there is and the only ones that are indeed waterproof are of such thick material you can't move your fingers all the rest are a joke calling them waterproof. There are btw, truely waterproof motorcycle gloves, that are leather with a strange liner. Someplace I've got a pair and they work, arn't cheap and the liner tends to pull out when you take them off, makes wearing them a pain in the butt. If you're interested I'll hunt around for the maker.
