My black poplar Night Heron, which is not black at all and is almost finished, will be called 'grote klomp' which is Dutch for 'Big wooden shoe' because she is made of the same wood.
But I like 'elf shoe'.
Very nice design Ian. I did not design my deck. It did grow under my hands.
