Clamps! you can't live with them, and you can't do anything without them! Kinda like women but the other way around!

I find when I need a clamp I usually need just a few at a time, so I keep about a dozen of various sizes hooked onto a handy storage shelf. They help stop stuff falling off the shelf! I leave one of the right size under the drill press where I seem to often need a clamp. And that's that! Nothing fancy!

On the other hand when I need dozens - for gunnels as an example, they all need to be the same size - small - since all do the same job, but I don't often need them. Or perhaps I need to put them on in a hurry so I need a bunch of spring clamps. I keep those in bags - sorted by type - under the bench out of my way. I just empty a bag or two out as needed. The cheap shopping bags every grocery store sells these days - since disposable plastic bags went out of style - are perfect. I store small jigs the same way. Of course it ain't elegant but I prefer it to festooning the workshop with elaborate clamp hanging arrangements. I'm not trying to impress anyone and I ran out of wall space long a go ...
