I cartopped my cosine wherry for ten or more years on my Pontiac Bonneville locally in Maryland. In 2001 I moved from Maryland to Connecticut and cartopped it on I 95 all the way with no problems. Used a Wakima bar rack on the roof of the car and tied with two straps over the boat one to the front and one to the back bar. I also used a tie from the bow to the front of the car going thru the grilll to the radiator mount and the rear strap under the trunk lid to the trunk latch. No Problems. that trup was over 300 miles non the worst highways in the world. My wife was in the Toyota Camry behind me with a Mill Creek 15 on top.
