What would you do?

Tie myself to the boat. I would not want to be shaken out and have the light boat be blown a mile away. That's too much swimming.

Now, exactly how I could get the rope between me and the boat in such a way that I can't get trapped in it, strangled, or drowned--well that's a good question! Get the knife handy on my PFD, in case I'd need ot cut myself free. Tie the camera to me so I don't lose it.

Turn at 90 degrees to the thing and paddle as far from its path as I can. Turning every so often to take a pictue, of course :)
