If you talking about buying exterior plywood it's really not a good choice. It would work but there are a lot of potential problems. Warping and voids (holes) in the centers of the sheet are the big ones. Finish is not going to be good so your going to do a lot of sanding to get it smooth. I don't know if this is the case everywhere but the stuff I get locally is not even what I consider decent plywood. I hate working with it for anything except carpentry like it is intended. Cut out a frame and come back the next morning and it's doing a potato chip imitation.
