Wow! Busy thread, thanks.

So here's the setup I have.

The table saw is a Delta Unisaw with a 4' plywood section attached to the (4') Unifence. Featherboard attached to that. I set up a long outfeed table with a length of stiff clear plastic for the slipperiness. Sawhorse behind me to help support the long board.

I ripped the 2x12 in half, and about every six passes I'd run a combination square down the edge to see how it was going. Once I got 1/8" out of line, I'd flip the board, and adjust the saw to rip 1/4" from the narrowest part of the board. The thicker parts would end up thicker but no big deal, that's what the planer's for.

Slow work, but two big boards are now a lot of skinny strips. I still need to rip each of them in half (they're 1.5" wide right now), but that was enough for this weekend.

Do you still use a featherboard when ripping strips in half? Seems like that would be tricky.
