Material: Minicell Color

Minicell only seems to come in gray. Wouldn't black look so much better with the wood tones? I think I saw somebody putting material over it and was just wondering if that's practical. Anybody done it?
Let me throw in another quick one..........what is chopped glass? Can I just shred some of my cloth or is it something you buy?
