Don't you hate that. I have to admit I screwed up a batch of resin while doing the inside seam on a Merganser. It just so happened I used two measure of hardener and no resin. It was a big mess and i tried all kinds of ways to clean it up I put saw dust on the seam to absorb the hardner and then cleaned it up as best i could with rags and putty knifs. I then mixed a batch of resin with a little less hardener and applied it to the seam. It work like a charm and have not had any problems with the boat. Hope that helps.
