Btw Dan, I've never used a beaver tail canoe paddle. What's it like compared to a "conventional" one.

Have no idea if there is a name for the "regular" canoe paddle or not.

The beaver tail shape just looks interesting.

This past year I finally broke down and bought a bent shaft canoe paddle, now I know what all the fuss was about when the first started becoming popular :) It's a FoxWorx Standard I think, was relatively cheap and is quite light weight, like it alot. Couldn't bring myself to spend the $300+ for a CF canoe paddle.
