: When i slide the forms in place, they fit so snug that they pull
: the sides flat between forms rather than letting the sides keep
: their existing curvature. Should i shift the form spacings or
: maybe sand down the sides of the forms? Or does in not matter
: and everything will work itself out later when i attach the deck
: and hull?
I had no problems with my Night Heron, so it should be possible to sort this out.
When you say,"slide the forms in place", do you mean that you are sliding the forms onto an internal strongback? Am I right in thinking you have no strips attached to anything at this stage?
When you say ,"pull the sides flat between forms rather than letting the sides keep their existing curvature", I don't understand what "sides" you mean. If you just have forms on a strongback, what exactly has been pulled flat?
If your strongback is straight and your forms are accurate, I can't picture what the problem is. There should not be any problem that needs the form spacing to be changed.
