The picture shows a piece before sanding the corners off. The one pictured is from an older batch. I make them a little lower profile these days.

I used mahogany in this case and just rout two grooves into a long strip, fill the grooves with thickened epoxy and plastic sleeves, round off with a radius bit, cut to length - and sand the corners off with a belt-sander.

Seeing it written down like that I realize it is quite a lot of work for a tiny object. they look good on the boat though.

I do something similar for my hatch hold-downs on one side and on top, but with only one groove, and hooks for the other side.
