Pretty much any dry black pigment will work, it's all basically the same thing, ground up carbon. Might be able to find lamp black in a big hardware store, though finding dead toner cartridges shouldn't be all that hard, don't need all that much, plenty left over in a cartridge that doesn't print anymore to do it.
