Nice deck style. For an ocean-style cockpit, that makes sense, and your knees and toes are both forward of the cockpit opening. More photos, please!

You shouldn't need much more toe room than an average kayak, though. There are 3 U.S. shoe sizes to the inch of foot length, so at most 1 inch higher than a normal cockpit should be fine.
