: I'm going to make my own foot braces out of some closed cell foam
: that's pushed up against the front bulkhead. I got to paddle a
: boat that had them once, and it was very nice. I like the bigger
: surface area as on regular foot braces my toes go to sleep every
: time. This system can be made somewhat adjustable if you use
: multiple layers of foam and velcro to hold them together. That
: way you can add foam for a shorter person. If you leave a gap in
: the center, you can still stretch your legs. And there's no need
: to attach anything to the inside of the hull, very simple.

Foam works fine, just somewhat slower to adjust and more difficult to do it with an ocean cockpit. Lots of people paddle my boats, so having them easy to adjust is helpful.
