I have found that shoe size is not as big a problem as leg length....or should I say the combination of the two are the problem. Decks usually taper so the longer the leg the shorter the deck height. Being 6'2" and size 12 feet I learned the advertised shoe size is a bit deceptive. I am hoping the Night Herring HD I am building works a bit better than my original boat the Guillemot that I have to paddle with no shoes....
