It's designed for me, and I'm 5'10" and 165 lbs. I've had it out a few times in calm wind and small swell conditions, and so far so good. It does have Point Bennett DNA, so I'm feeling good about the rough. This new design by far does not have mass appeal and is a rather specialized kayak. Add to that, I had to tweak my own numbers while building it, so I probably won't bother sharing them.
: Pretty exciting sounding specs. What kind of weight paddler is it
: aimed at? Can you/will you design a set of forms for a strip
: deck in case someone wanted to make a hybrid out of it?
: And finally ........ this thing is sea tested, yeah? I live in
: mortal dread of sea kayaks that aren't good in heavy seas, have
: had no bueno experiences with boats that perl.
