That would have been me. Photo below. Best part is the offcuts fly AWAY from the operator.

Oh and Kudzu, if you need to do a longer board just take the back fence off. On my craftsman miter it just unbolts with two screws. Its a bit of a bugger to get it lined back up square again though.
