: I've finished stripping the hull of my Firestar and did a 60 grit
: sanding. The stern is slightly offline as can be seen by the
: keel line following the stern to the rest of the boat in this

: Is this something I need to worry about? I tried shifting the form
: under the stern but it had little effect on the stern's
: position. I'm guessing that once I fiberglass the outside of the
: hull I'll lock the position of the stern in forever. If I do try
: to correct the stern position what would be the best approach to
: take? Wondering if I'll need to get used to paddling in circles
: if it's left as-is.

Hi Mark,
It could be bad, for the bend will act as a rudder or skeg.
What you could do is add a skin to one side to thicken it bring it back to a straight line.
Just glue strips over the top of the bent section and feather it in until you get the same profile as the other side. You might need to replace the outer stem though.
