Hi Bill, Thanks for your good input. Paul is right however. The heat shrink skin is just to get me on the water faster and give me the opportunity to paddle and see if I need to make any changes before I commit the time & $ on a more permanent skin. If I need to make any adjustments, it is a simple matter to cut off this skin and put on another. The 8 mil should give me an opportunity to do a lot of test paddling and get a good feel on how well I did in crafting the type of boat that Brian designed.

Even reading all of the post on this board, there have been lots of learning curves to slide down. Getting the proper rib shapes was not the only time that I took things apart to get them right.
