Hi Nick

Awesome, thanks for your reply. I agree it is very handy to quickly see where a topic is heading, and much easier to recall what each post is actually replying to. I've been having a play with vBulletin (admittedly a paid for service). It has an option like this forum, for users to show posts in a tree display (called 'Hybrid'). I can't find a similar setting on phpBB but I haven't looked very hard.

See below for a screenshot from their online demo (which I thought was pretty slow, actually, but presumably that's a feature of the host server)
