Man, I am really procrastinating today...

Another brief comment on the sewing... you can stitch it up with just about anything of a synthetic fiber, lots of folks use unwaxed dental floss. I did too, for a few skinnings. Then I threw all caution to the wind and tried the waxed sinew.... I figured I could paste up the seam with 5200 at the worst if the coating recoiled from the wax on the sinew... well, it worked fantastically great, under both Goop and Zar, I've used it on two kayaks now, and will ever only use it (until something better comes along or I run out). Dental floss works, but man, the sinew is soooo much easier to handle. It's not as floppy, not as prone to tangle. It doesn't disappear quite like unwaxed floss, but heck, the seam itself doesn't disappear either, unless you're a journeyman tailor, and most kayaks are some kind of earthy tone that doesn't look bad with sinew stitches, and it makes you concentrate on making uniform stitches more.

So. Take that for what it's worth, which may be what it cost.
