: and cove WRC in various shades. I have several thin curving
: pinstripes seperating wood tones and i'm curious as to whether i
: should just plane the bead/cove off these pieces or keep them on
: (if the strips even wide enough). My fear is that during sanding
: the bead and cove pinstripe won't be crisp unless i sand exactly
: the same throughout the whole strip during fairing. Is this
: assumption true? Should i just plane off the bead? cove? or

Hi Damian, I know your pain all to well(been there done that). My first boat was a kit from CLC the wood came cove/bead and it
came out great so my next boat( it truly is a disease) I decided to make my own strips, while routing I found lots of tearout and
thought I destroyed a couple hundred dollars of wood. So I cut the cove/bead off on the table saw then cut a 5deg. bevel on one
side and went with a rolling bevel. What I had was 3/8 x 3/16 strip and guess what? it turned out great the strips were easy to
bend and bieng a rookie I got over zealous with a few bevels but the up side is I recovered some trash from the beveling and
they filled the gaps from over beveling when sanded the mistakes disapear so turn your lemons to lemonade
