: Well I managed to get one side done last night. I'm pretty picky so
: I didn't stocp until every inch of the seam was filleted -
: eventhough it took a couple of hours and lot of cursing!!

: I went with the following - mix the epoxy to a mayonnaise
: consistency using filler. Prop the boat on its side so that
: gravity will help keep the mixture in the seam and to naturally
: provide a smooth bead. Put a glob of epoxy on the end of a long
: stick and deposit it where I needed it. Then use a long but
: narrower stick to push and pull the epoxy about to make the
: fillet.

: The hardest was working through the 10" round hatch in the
: front. It was a bit tight getting my head in to see what I was
: doing!!

: Trial and error was abit slow at first and I was ready to give up
: on in frustration but by the time I finished one side, I had it
: down pretty good. Things should go a lot quicker on the second
: side.

: I'm thinking on gluing a small plastic medicine measuring cup to
: the end of the stick and use it to hold the epoxy for better
: control of where it goes.

You can use the Pygmy method too. Get two dowels, one 3/4in and one 1/4 in and a couple of screw eyes. You also need a large syringe. Put the screw eyes into the large dowel. Tape the syringe to the large dowel, in line with the screw eyes, and fill it with thickened epoxy. Then use the small dowel to push down on the plunger as you move the dowel down the shear. This will spread the mixture into the seam.
