Depends. Good answer huh?

If it's stored in an airtight container that totally blocks the UV, ie: metal container, then it should last nearly forever. Stored in plastic that's left in a room with fluorescent lights and exposed to the sun it will eventually harden in the container. Both air and UV hasten it's hardening.
