YES!!! I have had West System G5 go bad to the point that it will not harden. This happened after quite some time on the shelf in tropical conditions. It turns a very horrible color of reddish-brown. It would kick a little, but no matter how much hardener I used it would not cure.
I've also had West System 205 hardener go bad the same way- turning very dark purple-red and the darker it got the harder it was to get it to cure. In that particular case I didn't try as hard as above to add more hardener to get it to kick. I just gave up and threw it out.
That said, my belief is that if it cures it's fine. Once it's cured it's cured. I'm sure as PGJ said you could split hairs over the strength, but if it cures it's stuck well enough.
