Thought I would give an update on my Petrel experience just to persuade all that this is the best kayak design out there. (I may be a little bias) If you are contemplating building one, go for it! Anyway, not an official launching yet however and update on my first pool session. I can say it rolls great! I have no training only watching videos on YouTube, but was able to roll on my first try. By the end on the hour, I could reentry roll, and roll on both sides without goggles or nose plugs (my sinuses are still draining).

Any suggestions for keeping the water out of your nose?
