Sorry, I should have mentioned Rob Macks first. I did use his instructional manual for building the bow and stern.
I used the Fire Star manual and it took several attempts with the stern. When I followed the manual and Rob's methods exact that is when it came out right.
Rob is a true artist when it comes to strip built baidarkas. Thank you Rob, your technique for stripping works great.
I just joined the deck and hull so the epoxy is sanded just below the shear area. I hope for better pictures very soon.
