Skin-on-Frame: Not a kayak, redux *PIC*
Looks like a slow day on the forum, and I'm always interested in self-promotion, so here's my latest: She's a skin-on-frame Whitehall, for oar and sail. This one is rigged only for rowing, as I'm too lazy to build the sail rig. I based her on an example in the Mystic Seaport collection.
She's 13'6" x 47" weighs about 55lbs and is made of marine ply and redwood, skinned with 8oz polyester coated with tinted Zar. The floorboards are ash, and there's foam floatation under the seats. The oarlocks will be added tomorrow.
Questions and comments welcome, of course!
