I am a regular on the woodenboat site with a different screen name. You have certainly read my comments because my post count is over 8500. I have posted on almost every anti-epoxy comment posted in the last five years. I think anti-epoxy crowd sees something pure about the way things were done long ago.
All my boats, which are few in number, are held together with epoxy and are encapsulated with epoxy. Epoxy isn't a perfect coating but it's ability to grip wood and seal wood is many times better than whatever other coatings there are.
