I've never sewn it wet because... I've always had good tight skin by sewing dry and wetting after, if it aint broke, don't fix it. It allows me to take my time (three days usually) and I cut my skin and then seal it with a torch, I can't imagine I could melt the skin when its wet. When I do wet my skin, I use a spray bottle which this time is an old glass cleaner bottle.
