I honestly thought that those kind of things would only very slightly effect evaluation of the skin. If thats not the case I guess I would have to defer to my particular uses which would be casual use in small creeks and lakes with a possibility of snags or rocks.

(Part of what prompted this is that I don't really want a loose skin like you often get with nylon, but I know it is the toughest. I just would like to know how much toughness I am giving up with polyester.)

I still think something like this, with a few of the most experienced builders contributing could be valuable for myself and others.
