I have used the Z Spar and liked it However regardless of what you use the wood is still going to change color over time and has nothing to do with the finish. After five strippers myself none of them look like they did the first day they left the shop. Pine yellows, Padauk turns dark brown to almost black so does purple heart. The black walnut looks about the same.
